Cook mode, step by step Cook mode, step by step

Recipes now have a cook mode: a screen that walks you through a recipe one step at a time, keeps your phone from dimming mid-stir, and on iPad no longer stacks a new screen for every step.

belly got a redesign!

belly got a redesign! belly got a redesign!

We've rebuilt belly to be much easier to use on mobile devices. When we first launched we built belly to be our perfect companion, and we liked cooking with an old laptop (weird I know). This meant belly UI was not the easiest to use on small screens. Fonts were very small, buttons were hard to press, forms were overly detailed. With this new design, belly has been rebuilt from the ground up for a mobile first experience. Big tappable buttons, big icons, simple forms, and much more.

First build

belly is live, and it's been a real labour of love to get here. There's a long list of what's coming next, but for now we're sitting with the joy of having made something early users already love.
